SWAY CALLOWAY LAUNCHES MULTIMEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT SYMPOSIUM, "ALL THE RIGHT ELEMENTS" (New York, NY) MTV Executive Producer Sway Calloway is set to launch a new innovative approach to learning the working mechanics of television, the music industry, marketing and artist development. The symposium is entitled, “All the Right Elements” that will target dedicated, focused and determined individuals who are interested in acquiring valuable information that is pertinent to having success in the television, radio, entertainment and multimedia industries. Little Rock, Arkansas is the debut city in which the seminars will commence on Saturday, November 14th, 2009 at the Statehouse Convention Center. “I recently had the opportunity to visit Little Rock to host their first Fashion Week and was pleasantly greeted with an abundance of passionate individuals who were eager to know more about how to successfully enter the entertainment business. My visit prompted me to include the city of Little Rock on the seminar’s schedule and afford me the opportunity to go back and take time to converse with serious individuals and give back to the people of Little Rock who are interested in effectively creating a brand and elevating their business.” says Calloway. Calloway along with business partners, entertainment executives Rich Nice and Kelly Jackson will produce these intimate symposiums in selected cities across the country. The full list of cities for the 2010 calendar will be announced soon. The trio’s combined years of expertise is over twenty-five plus years in the areas of marketing, promotions, artist development, publicity and A&R. Multifaceted Sway Calloway began his career in music as a rap artist and ventured into radio debuting “The World Famous Wake Up Show” with his partner DJ King Tech. Sway’s work on the “The Wake Up Show” earned him the label of hip-hop icon interviewing the most influential artists in the industry. He gave a jump-start to the careers of rappers such as Notorious B.I.G. & Eminem. In 2000, MTV approached Sway to become part of the network and relocate from Los Angeles to New York. Sway became the first correspondent at MTV to negotiate his contract in 2005. He is an Executive Producer of MTV News and has the creative power to produce his own specials. Sway also made the transition to the big screen with a cameo appearance in the movie “Stomp the Yard” and television shows, “The Parkers” and “The Boondocks.” All the Right Elements will feature seasoned professionals who will participate in discussion with moderated topics pertaining to various interests such as the state of the music business, how to break an artist, Marketing and Promoting your artist and the Future of Multimedia. Panelists will also interact with registrants and participate in an organized Question and Answer exchange. The seminar will serve as a way to promote and provide innovative creative strategies to individuals who are interested in broadening their awareness to media and consumers. |
